Agustina Hein – Artist, Ceramicist & Ecological Designer
Agustina Hein is an artist and designer whose work is deeply rooted in her reverence for the natural world. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and raised between Germany and the United States, her multicultural background shapes a creative practice that blends global influence with local connection.
She earned her Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia in Athens in 2011. Since then, Agustina has worked as a cook, traveler, potter, and landscape designer, always driven by a passion for ecological design, native plants, ceramics, outdoor living, and embodied movement.
Agustina has honed her ceramic practice in various open studios and studied at the renowned Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. Her landscape restoration and design projects span the East Coast, from the coastal ecosystems of Savannah to the mountains of Virginia.
Now based in Gunnison, Colorado, she draws inspiration from a vibrant community of makers and stewards in the Gunnison Valley—people devoted to their craft, their environment, and their connection to place.
